OJCL Officer Pre-File Application: The following pages contain the application for candidacy for State Office in OJCL. The purpose is to collect information from each applicant on the questions that are traditionally asked of the Candidates at Convention. By including these within the application, it is hoped that you will be provided more opportunity to answer the questions concisely and accurately. Additionally, these questions may actually assist you in preparing for the Election. The information collected will be available on the Web for review 14-20 days prior to Convention (after the close of the application process). This period will allow the Clubs and their Voting Delegates to review the applications and prepare follow-up questions for the applicants at Convention. It is hoped that sharing this information prior to Convention will make the "Meet the Candidates" activities at Convention more productive, and ensure that that qualified Candidates are elected. Answer the questions to the best of your ability. Possibly complete an initial "draft" response and return to refine your answers as you need. Remember that the application form generated through this process must be post marked by 2/6/08 (with all the necessary signatures)! Good Luck!! Nota Bene!: You may pre-file for BOTH a Statewide Elected Office, as well as the Regional Representative position for your region. The election of the Regional Representatives (Gubernatores) will be held between Feb. 10 and Mar. 7 for all member Clubs within their respective region to elect their Gubernator. If you are successful, you will be contacted to inform you of the selection, and you will be offered the opportunity to withdraw your statewide office application, or decline the Gubernator position, which will be inturn offered to the next highest vote recipient. A candidate for the Gubernator (Regional Representative position is NOT required to attend Convention this year, but attendance is required during their term of Office.
